My name is Marta, and I'm a freelance writer and blogger based in Lisbon. I majored in fashion design and worked as an online journalist for a few years, before quitting my job to start a business.
Litulla is my hobby, and the place where I talk about books and self-care for women in their twenties. Here, you can find everything from summer thriller recommendations and reading advice to self-care rituals you can do at home.
1. I love making memes. It’s something I started doing last year on my bookstagram, and even though I don’t make them very often, I have a lot of fun coming up with jokes and searching for funny pictures.
2. I don’t like coffee. I hate the smell and the taste of coffee, and that includes ice cream, cakes, and anything at all that might taste like it. I’m not a big fan of tea, either.🤷♀️
3. My favorite literary genres include historical fiction, contemporary romance and fantasy, but I’m always ready to read books that are completely out of my comfort zone.
Most of my friends are women in their twenties who don’t enjoy reading, and as a self-proclaimed bookworm, I’ve always thought they were missing out on an activity that can truly become a part of their self-care routine.
That’s why I had this idea of mixing books and self-care together: while, to me, they’re pretty much one and the same, I know that’s not true for most young women. Litulla’s main goal is to not only present books as something cool and desirable, but also share how they can help you grow as a person, entertain you, and improve your mental health, if you give them the chance to become a part of your me-time.
Even though I do my best to keep my blog updated, my weekly newsletter is where you’ll find the best book recommendations, memes, quotes and self-care advice. It’s a huge email (I promise it’s fun!) that goes straight to your inbox every friday, and I love writing every issue. You can read a sample here!
